We now have an opportunity for a Lean Lead to join our team. Collectively responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Macclesfield Lean Programme and providing expert support and technical leadership to its implementation.
You’ll be a role model for Lean Leadership, inspiring both your deployed team of coaches and facilitators and everyone on site to show the passion and discipline needed to accelerate our Lean maturity.
You'll need significant application experience of Lean principles, processes, tools, behaviours & leadership and a comprehensive understanding of how Lean principles and tools are applied to the business as a whole including manufacturing.
What you'll do:
As an active member of UK Ops Strategy and Change Leadership team, you’ll ensure Lean is at the core of our strategy and shape the plans for our continuing maturity journey. That includes plans for TPM and BPM excellence and nurturing the alliance between Lean and Digital solutions.
Lead and manage the site MANEX team ensuring they are equipped to support the organisation on its lean journey based on the AZ Supply System, standardising, developing & improving the processes, ensuring correct and consistent implementation.
Ensuring our site’s Lean implementation plans and business processes align with regional and global Lean strategies, the AZ Supply System Maturity Review and most importantly the way we deliver our site scorecard targets.
You’ll have the empathy and credibility to build relationships with the most senior leaders on site, acting as conscience and coach day-to-day.
Work with Regional and Functional Lean Leaders and play an active part in the cross-site networks for different Lean processes.
Sponsor and establish suitable education & training to develop and maintain the necessary capabilities within the supply chain, regions, sites and functions
Ensure a clear definition of the Lean implementation processes and practices start to finish is understood and documented; establish process goals and targets; monitor process performance,
Essential Skills & Experience:
A broad operations professional with experience in a range of functions, including but not limited to, Lean/Six Sigma projects and programs
A critical appreciation of Lean best practices from the external world and other related industries
Degree level qualification or higher in a Manufacturing, Engineering or related technical/business field (or equivalent)
Expertise in process & project management and improvement
A track record of delivering business impact and sustained change with demonstrated understanding and application of change management principles
Broad understanding of supply chain processes
Desirable
Experience of implementing Total Productive Maintenance
Six Sigma (or Lean Six Sigma) Black Belt certification and/or certification from an accredited external Quality program
Expertise in the application of analytical problem solving methodology
Understanding of Good Automated Manufacturing Practice, current Good Manufacturing Practice and regulations as defined by local regulatory bodies
